This early 1990's (either 1991 or 1992) Pinnacle Elite in Backfire colorway is a fresh restore by Dave Wilkins aka KleinFreak, who was a painter for Klein in the 1990's, and his restorations are considered as good or better than the original stock paintjobs! This one includes the original color matched MC1 integrated handlebar and 1" stem in yellow, Klein/Spinner fork, XT HP-M730 headset, and original BB.
The Pinnacle Elite was a marketed as the all around versatile mountain bike to the Rascal/Adroit/Attitude's full on aggressive race bike. The geometry is slightly slacker than the Rascal, and adds vertical dropouts and rack mounts.
Condition
Pristine show bike condition! It was built up after the complete restoration, but never ridden. It is so close to pristine, with the only tiny blemishes being 1) 2mm chip on the back of the seat tube 2) a 3mm chip just forward of the non-drive dropout on the chainstay, 3) a big paint chip under the lever clamp/grip area on the handlebars, as well as the slightest axle marks on dropouts/fork ends.
