Product Description
This wild early 1990's Rascal is a fresh restore by Dave Wilkins aka KleinFreak, who named this frame FunkenKlein for obvious reasons. This paint job is funky! Dave was a painter for Klein in the 1990's, and his restorations are considered as good or better than the original stock paintjobs! This one is a 22" (extra large), a tougher to find frame size.
The Rascal was a step down from the Attitude in Klein's hierarchy. It was designed to be an aggressive and fast mountain bike, and extremely similar to the Attitude And Adroit. The main difference is a traditional 1" fork and headset, which provides a less rigid and jarring ride than the massively oversized Uni-Klein fork on the upper models. It even retains the Attitude/Adroit's horizontal dropouts.
Condition
Pristine show bike condition! It was built up after the complete restoration, but never ridden. (link above, with 3DV Purple Crank Brothers Dog Bone Cranks, Ringle Holey skewers, and XT M730). It is drop dead gorgeous and flawless. The only sign it's been built is the slightest axle marks in the dropouts/fork ends. It does not have rear brake bosses (easily acquired)
