Product Description
Skip Hujsak (pronounced Hi-Sak) outside of Austin, Texas is a well respected framebuilder who's somehow not known far and wide. He's most noted for building John Howard's pedal powered land speed record bike (152mph!). This frame is a TT / pursuit built from shaped Columbus Max steel tubing and runs on 24 x 3/4" tubular wheels. It features a long and slender wishbone seatstay, internal brake cable routing, and massive oversized tubing. This is a lightweight and stiff frame designed for maximum speed.
The paint is a work of art! It's the closest to "mother of pearl purple" as I can think of. Its highly metallic, and nearly chameleon as it shows blue at tight angles and ranging dark to light purple closer to straight on.
It comes with a high end wheelset, built on Winners 2000 roller-clutch silent hubs! You won't hear a peep out of the freehub body. That freehub body is a strange one. It uses a modified type connection with splines near the large cogs and thread on freewheel style at the smaller ones. It comes with a modified 8 speed Dura Ace MF-7400 freewheel to fit it. Laced to top shelf Sun Mistral Super Hard Ano rims, and Continental Competition GT tires.
Condition
Excellent used shape! Paint and decals overall are very clean with minimal wear. The only thing to note is paint damage on the driveside chainstay due to chain drop/suck, right around the crimp. I have examined this extra carefully, and it IS a crimp to provide chainring clearance and not a dent. How it got this much paint damage to that section is a mystery.
