Product Description
Russ Denny was the apprentice of the legendary master framebuilder Dave Moulton. Denny is currently re-introducing the Fuso line Dave was famous for. Dave Moulton himself has said many times that Russ bulds and brazes as well or even better than he does. This frame has all the quality of a Dave Moulton Custom or Fuso FR1, without the high price tag.
The frame appears to have been built as a fast race bike. It has a sloping top tube and super short and thick stays (38cm chainstays). All joints are masterfully fillet-brazed. The paint is a luxurious British Racing Green and cream white. There are some unique intricacies that make the frame special. The seat tube cap and brake bridge are works of art. There are neat little cut-outs on the inside edges of the stays at the brake bridge. The pump peg is like a little pearl hanging on the back of the headtube. It is just a simple ball.
The rear spacing is 130mm, which means it's set up for modern 8/9/10/11 speed drivetrains. It can be run with STI/ERGO/Brifters by bolting adapters onto the downtube shifter bosses.
CONDITION
Excellent lightly used condition. The paint and decals look exquisite. The only real wear to note is the back/left of the seat tube has an area of paint chips near the middle. There's also slight paint chipping on the bottom of the bb shell on the edges. Otherwise it passes for fresh paint from 3 feet away, with just a few tiny marks here and there. Frame is straight, with NO dents/cracks/bends/rust.
SIZE
The frame is stamped 64cm, and that is the seat tube measurement center to top of seattube. Being a sloping top tube, it will fit closer to a 60cm with a 58cm top tube. This should fit someone roughly 6ft 2 to 6ft 6.
