Product Description
Richard Sachs needs no introduction, and he holds company with a very short list of custom framebuilders who's frames are considered among the finest available and command an unexpectedly higher resale value than 99% of handmade bicycles. That list includes legends such as Dario Pegoretti, Yamaguchi, J.P. Weigle, Merlin, & Moots. This cross bike was handmade by Richard Sachs, and it's performance, fine lugwork, and impeccable Joe Bell paint job are outshined only by the envy on all your friend's faces when they see you on a Sachs.
Richard built this frame as a custom job in 2011. It is made from PegoRichie ultralight Columbus steel tubing & Richie-Issimo lugs. Every lug is adorned by cutouts painted in yellow, especially beautiful is the long inside tang on the fork crown cutout in the shape of the 4 card suits. The build has a carbon focus, with Campagnolo Record 11 mechanical gruppo, Mavic Cosmic Carbone Ultimate (1250g), Quarq Riken powermeter crank, ZIPP bars, & TRP V-brakes. It's built for speed and low weight, it's complete weight coming in at just 17.4 pounds!

Condition
Excellent to near mint overall condition with a few things to note. Aside from the paint chip/scrapes on the bottom edge of the chainstay, it passes for new at 3 feet with glossy & clean paint and components. No chain suck/drop wear. Condition items of note: 1) non-driveside has a handlebar strike dent. Labeled in photos. It's minor and not an issue and you can see it only when the light reflects wavy lines on it. 2) chainstays have some rock chips and maybe a scrape on their undersides. 3) 4mm chip near tubing decal 4) The slightest scuffing on the driveside bar tape at end & just barely scuffed ends. 4) paint chips/wear to rear of rear dropouts. Components are all exc+ to near mint. The only things to note are light heel rub on the crank, slight scuff on bottom edge of RD, right ergo has a few clearcoat rub spots on the rear's outside edge.
