Product Description
This very early Nitto stem in the style of the 1930's Reynolds Girder stem or 1950's GB I-Beam stem. It was produced from roughly 1965 to the late 1970's. From my research, this could be the very first stem Nitto made. This one has a blue Fuji decal in the center of the (stock) clamp bolt, replacing the original red Nitto decal.
It's milled out on the sides, creating that distinct I Beam shape. The top features a pronounced ridge that tapers to a point near the bar clamp. The clamp bolt features an inset red decal inscribed Nitto Handle Works LTD.
Condition
Very good used shape, with minimal wear but patina in the form surface corrosion throughout much of the stem. No scrapes/scuffs/big scratches to note. Hardware in great shape except clamp nut is rusted and a bit of rust inside quill bolt head too.
