If you pay with cash or a zero fee digital payment the price is $1800The Block Letter is identified via the EVH in bold block letters below the power/standby lights, the 1993 and later are called "Script" and have Eddy Van Halen's signature instead of that EVH.
I've made the VERY difficult decision to sell my Roadster and keep the 5150 Block Letter. This amazing amp is the Dual Rectifier thats equally at home playing blues and Jazz as it is metal. The Roadster is the exact same amp as the Mesa Boogie Road King without the ability to mix and switch between 6L6 & EL34 tubes. Its lead channels are very similar to the Dual Rectifier Rev G. Channels one and two are quite unique for a Mesa. Channel one has the "tweed" setting that is the sparkliest clean to slightly dirty color I've ever experienced and I'll truly miss it. Its an almost cranked Fender tone. Channel two has the "Brit" mode that gives Marshall JVM or Plexi vibes. Channel 3 my fav mode is "vintage" which gives 80's metal, and channel 4 I use "modern" which is great for modern metal, doom, death, etc. SO much gain! This is a very versatile amp with so many different sounds to explore beyond what I just detailed.
Condition
I bought this head from the original owner who used it in his home its entire life, and since I bought it it hasn't left the house. Never gigged. This thing is in PRISTINE condition. If you dust it better than I did it passes for showroom new. Zero crackling in any pots, no physical wear (footswitch does have a few light scratches though). It sounds just PERFECT. Includes original cover and 8-button foot switch.
