RARE true Block Letter Peavey 5150 amp, plus original foot switch and original matching Peavey 5150 4x12 slant cabinet (stock 5150 Sheffield Model 1200 Speakers). This is the first year of Eddy's first signature amp. Its a pure firebreathing monster with more gain than almost anyone needs.

The Block Letter is identified via the EVH in bold block letters below the power/standby lights, the 1993 and later are called "Script" and have Eddy Van Halen's signature instead of that EVH.
This thing SCREAMS. I LOVE this amp, and I'm only selling because I upgraded to a modern amp with more channel switching abilities (Mesa Boogie Rectifier Roadster). Eddy had James Brown design it as a pissed off blend of a modded Marshall JCM800 / Super lead and a Soldano SLO. It was the voice of 90s metal alongside the Dual Rectifier, and became the amp for metalcore and Djent due to its super tight percussive attack.
Condition
It has been recently inspected and cleaned professionally and it was reported back in great functional shape with years and years of life to go. Cosmetically its quite clean. It looks like it hasn't really been gigged a ton. The head is exceptional and only has some light microscratching on the plate by the knobs and two ~1cm tolex flaps. The heat vent on top has cracks at all four corners from being overtightened (but is otherwise mint). Footswitch is close to mint. Cab is exceptionally clean inside, speakers look wonderful. No real wear to the grill. Tolex has a handful of little wear spots but nothing bad. Corner plates show slight wear.
