Product Description
The Kings of Mercia is Mercian's top of the line model, built with Reynolds 531 lugged steel. This one is a touring model, complete with fender eyelets and rear rack eyelets. It features Mercian's heart lugs, and a deep red/white paint job. The lugs are outlined in white. Complete with it's original fork and a Tange headset, as well as Campagnolo dropouts and fork ends. Overall, it's a lovely high end English touring bicycle frame.
Condition
Very good to great lightly used shape. The paint overall looks nice, though has some chips (mostly on the rear triangle). The paint is nice and glossy, and the decals are near perfect. There's little scratching, but the paint chips on the rear triangle are fairly obvious. The chips don't look as bad as they could, as the gold colored primer (?) underneath shows through instead of bare metal. The frame looks nice enough as is for a daily rider, but would need a repaint if you intend this to be a pristine show bike.
The frame is straight with no dents, dings, bends, cracks, or rust. The headset turns smoothly.
Size
It's a med/large in modern terms, and will fit someone roughly 5ft 9 to 6ft 2.
