Product Description
Super rare new old stock example of the 2nd gen Campy C-Record rear derailleur circa ~1987 to 1989. This second generation was in my opinion the most refined aesthetically out of the three generations. It is easily distinguished by it's twin pivot bolts, bold "Campagnolo" script on a heavily shaped faceplate, covered upper jockey wheel and uncovered lower.
The 1st gen was polished rather than the 2nd/3rd gen's anodized silver and has a much larger and flatter faceplate as well as both jockey wheels covered (many other differences but these are the obvious ones). The later 1990's R010 featured a barrel adjuster for indexed shifter use, and it lost it's upper pivot bolt.
Condition
Near mint lightly used shape. There's a touch of road rash on the top edge of the faceplate & upper right knuckle as well as top of upper pivot bolt housing. A bit of chain scratch upper jockey plate cover. Hardware in lovely shape. Buttery smooth jockey wheels. It's not quite perfect but it is VERY nice and worthy of some show bikes.
