Product Description
This is a practically new no-expense-spared top level boutique long distance touring bike, with almost no miles! It starts with the gorgeous fillet brazed Bilenky Midlands frame (retail price $3000), with all the fender and rack mounts you could want! It's equipped with disc brakes for the best stopping available. Full Campagnolo Record 10 speed carbon ti triple drivetrain, with a long cage RD. White Industries wheelset, and finished with a Chris King headset, Brooks Cambium, and Brooks leather bar tape. Retail price for the full build would be in the $6000+ range.
This bike is so exquisite, I had to take it for a spin myself on a sunny day in Portland. It's simply magical. The ride quality is beyond silky smooth, precise handling, and efficient. It exudes that "springy" feel of a high end steel frame. When you stand up and pedal, you can feel the bike spring forward! It has a really lively rear end when out of the saddle that makes it a blast to ride. It's handling has that mythical telepathic quality to it. You think about the arc you want it to take, and it curves that exact line. Really is a delight to experience.
The fine details? A SOLID SILVER head badge! Yes, that is solid genuine silver (not plated). The paint is a shimmery metallic pearl grey with even more shimmery Bilenky logos on the top tube and down tube. Gorgeous integrated cable guides throughout create a nice look and flawless cable runs. The seat cluster and dropouts are simple yet beyond elegant.
Braze on mounts for days! It has mounts fully integrated fenders, rear pannier rack, handlebar bag lower stay mounts on fork crown, Eyelets for a lowrider rack on the fork ends, two pairs of mid fork leg brazes, three water bottle cage mounts, frame pump peg, and a chainstay spare spoke holder. It has a 203mm rear, 160mm front for ample braking power while heavily loaded. Fenders have a lovely installation, and feature the perfect stay bend at the front to work around the disc caliper.
Condition
Pristine barely used shape! The original owner was a bike shop owner, and put less than 400 miles on it! The paint has maybe 3 or 4 small (1-3mm) paint chips, but otherwise is just about flawless. Components show practically zero wear. This bike passes for showroom new from 2 feet away! Tires/cables/chain/cassette/pads are all near new. Fully tuned and ready to ride!
