Product Description
Very nice and fully functional example of a classy all metal vintage/antique frame pump. Throw out your plastic Silca Impero, this one's so much cooler! Seals hold air well, hose is flexible, and the rod is straight.
This pump is a favorite of the old randonneur riders! They were often spec'd for 1940's, 1950's, and 1960's Rene Herse, Alex Singer, and Jo Reutens bikes. They also pop up on early Schwinn Paramount frames and Peugeot PX10's.
Complete with it's original pump head and hose! The hose has a neat little spring retainer system that keeps it in the handle's end. There is speculation that the number of colored bands on these correlates with the pump length. The threaded cap which the rod slides through is engraved "Super AD HOC".
Condition
Excellent or better show bike worthy condition. Fully functional and complete. Pumps air very well. Seals only let the SLIGHTEST hiss of air past your finger if you push the pump hard. Rod is straight, and pumps pretty smooth with just a bit of drag. Metal is free of damage, but has some minor scratching here and there. Decal and bands look great!
