Product Description
Lovely early set of Sheffield road pedals! These are model 645, and seem to be the same as the earliest Sheffield Sprint pedals except those had one piece center shells. Velobase attributes these to 1940's, others online claim they're from the 1960's. Style wise they are quite suitable for 1940's, 50's, and early 60's classic road bikes. These were likely spec'd as stock on some Bianchi models.
Condition
Excellent used shape with a lovely light patina. Cages are straight Pedals are mostly free from rust, though there's one small spot on a spindle and a touch on the inside of the cage plates (I have not tried removing it). Bearings are a bit loose and could use an adjustment and grease. Original dust caps in great shape. Cages largely in clean condition though there's some scraping at the tips of the tails.
