Product Description
This is an incredibly well cared for and lightly used light touring frame, custom built for a quite small rider in 1982. This frame came to me built up completely as it was spec'd from Gordon and Yellow Jersey with a mix of high level parts that would make the complete bicycle quite expensive, so I decided it was best to strip and sell the frame at an affordable price to a short cyclist to build how they like! It comes with ALL the original documentation, from both Bruce Gordon and Yellow Jersey, as well as a pretty cool translucent Bruce Gordon business card!
This frame is built with a 126mm rear spacing & 700c, a custom semi-sloping crown that's reminiscent of a Henry James crown, a BB shell with cutouts and over the top cable guides, fender/rack eyelets, and campy dropouts. The chainstays are a sleek fastback design with an integrated post binder bolt, and super thin custom drawn Columbus SL tubing for all tubes in the frame and fork.
Bruce Gordon is a highly regarded master framebuilder out of Petaluma, California. He may be one of the greatest frame builders of the last half century. Bruce recently retired, and sold off his shop.
Condition
Excellent or better very lightly ridden condition! This frame was stored indoors it's entire life, and all the original components it came to me with were in mint condition. The paint and decals overall looks excellent, with just a few minor blemishes. There's a few paint marks near the dropouts on the stays, and a few very minor marks elsewhere. Very light surface corrosion in the paint chips. The frame is straight. No rust or corrosion inside the frame. Zero dents.
