Product Description
Tom Kellogg started building bicycle frames in his Pennsylvania garage in 1976. This frame is from 1977, and was the 27th frame he ever built! Early Tom Kellogg's don't pop up very often, and they can only get 26 frames newer than this one!. Kellogg was a bicycle racer turned frame builder. His frames are revered as top quality pieces, and have won countless professional bike races. Tom went on to build titanium frames for Merlin Cycles, and then formed Spectrum Cycles. The serial number is: 77-27-30-30, indicating it was built in 1977, it was his 27th frame built, and has 73 degree head and seat tube angles.
Condition
There is a small dent on each side of the top tube, a half inch forward of the first cable guide. The non-drive side is dimed size, and did not break the paint. The drive-side dent is more quarter sized, and the paint is chipped on the edges of the dent. The previous owner told me it was shipping damage.
The paint is rough, but decals are in excellent shape! Other than the top tube dents, the frame is straight. No rust, bends, or other dents.
