Product Description
These cranks were WAY ahead of their time! They came out in the early/mid 1990's. At the time, they were claimed the lightest and stiffest cranks ever made! (and they cost $500 originally!) They weigh 560g for 180mm arms with bb! They're tig welded from tubular steel, and feature a hollow, one-bolt bottom bracket. They were exorbitantly pricey, thus they were not made for many years. Includes bottom bracket, Ring Wranglers (small pieces to connect to spider and middle/large rings), and period correct chainrings (XT M739 and Avid..yes, Avid made chainrings!)
This set includes the original (and almost always lost) rubber dust caps, instruction sheet and even a catalog from 1995!
Condition
Near mint or better with low miles! Exceptionally nice show bike worthy condition. The arms have very cosmetic marks. Ends have only a couple very minor rub spots (couldn't rightly call them scuffs even). Structurally and mechanically excellent. Bottom bracket bearings spin smoothly, though bb cup ends are a bit dirty. BB splines don't show wear. Chainrings are in excellent shape, with very minimal wear and no bashed teeth.
