Product Description
The model 49 / 49D crank was introduced in 1949, and ran until the 80's with relatively minor changes. This very clean example is a mid-era model from 1963 to 1973. This version is a "Stronglight Marque Deposee" logo, short and deep flutes, and writing only on the arm heads. This version's chainrings still use the early star-shaped outer ring (which was the base shape for the 75 SC), and traditional 10mm hex bolts. The inner ring is 122mm. In 1974, these changed to allen bolts like the 63sc.
Condition
Near mint very lightly used shape with low miles! These are show bike worthy! The arm ends are just barely scratched in spots. Arm fronts and sides have only light scratches, none that are bad enough to mention. They're not pristine, but they are very clean. Chainrings have some light cosmetic wear but very minimal tooth wear
