These 1989 to 1991 canti brakes are among the most powerful of Shimano cantilever brakes of the 1980's and 1990's. They are a wide profile design, allowing for a properly long straddle cable and excellent mechanical advantage. They feature sealed Shimano SLR spring systems, and a gorgeous silver/polished finish. They are the culmination of design from the similar and earlier BR-M700 and BR-M730. In 1992, the BR-M734 came out and from then on XT was a less powerful/modulation low profile design. These are an excellent and often catalog spec choice for your retro 1990's mtb restoration. Quite rare in this condition!
Condition
New old stock, no box. These are arms, springs/plastic retainers, pads, and cable cinch bolts only. No straddles/yokes, or mounting bolts. Untouched and pristine.
