This 1987 to 1988 canti brakes are among the most powerful of Shimano cantilever brakes of the 1980's and 1990's. They are a wide profile design, allowing for a properly long straddle cable and excellent mechanical advantage. This is very similar to the BR-M732 which introduced SLR technology. These are an excellent and often catalog spec choice for your retro 1980's or early 1990's mtb restoration. Quite rare in this condition!

New old stock, Take off? Pretty close to perfect. The only wear to note is some corrosion on the cable pinch bolt
