Product Description
Rare and gorgeous seatpost that was distributed by Ron Kitching's British company Milremo, but was made in France (Perhaps by JPR or Spidel?). This is a two bolt model that kind of blurs the Campagnolo Nuovo/Super Record one bolt and two bolt styles. The top clamp pieces are the individual straddle bars like the Campy 2-bolt, while the lower uses a one piece saddle aka campy 1-bolt but with two bolts. The Ron Kitching catalog shows the Gran Sport model as this exact seatpost while the Luxe shows a true single bolt clamp, though it describes the Luxe as a two bolt model. It has a lovely polish with a black clamp/elbow and flutes.
This is a 26.6mm size, which was common on nicer French bicycles from the 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's (most often with Columbus, Reynolds, or Vitus tubing).
Condition
New old stock, no box. Never installed. Barely any shop wear.
