Perfect wheelset for your top shelf late 1980's to mid 1990's Italian road bike restoration! It's a top quality build, with double butted wheelsmith spokes, Record hubs/skewers, and Mavic's legendary hard anodized Open Pro rims. These Record 8sp hubs have gotten pretty rare, especially NOS. Open Pro rims are both bombproof and relatively lightweight, and the hard ano version is getting scarce. Tension is excellent, and they're straight as an arrow.
Condition
New old stock, take-off. They were built up, installed on a bike, and never ridden. Bearings are buttery smooth and perfectly adjusted, rim brake tracks show zero pad marks. Rims and skewers have just a few marks here and there from shop wear.
