NOS 1972 Ti-Raleigh Professional Racing Team Cycling Cap: White/Red/Gold - RARE Collector's Item - Early Team History
This appears to be the exact same hat the Ti-Raleigh racing team wore in their first year, 1972, as shown here in their team photo. One could speculate it was a cap made for the team but never made it to service. It is a high quality cap, backing up that it could have been an actual team hat. The white parts are a very thin and almost tweed-like cotton. The red parts are likely the viscose, just as thin but with a tighter knit. This would be ideal for a L'Eroica ride, for a showcase in a Raleigh collection, or as a gift for a cycling history fanatic.
Condition
Appears never worn! Clean, and pristine to my eyes. This one came from a collector.
