Product Description
This is an absurdly rare UNOPENED 1,000 gram white jar of Campagnolo Grasso-10-N grease from the mid to late 1980's. Even back in the day, this would have been so cost prohibitive that only pro bike shops that do a large quantity of Campy builds would have ever ordered. And if they did, it would have been cracked open immediately. Finding this one completely sealed without even a bit of the foil coming up was a shock. It's the Campy-o-phile's version of what brings car and motorcycle fans to spend $4,000 on an EMPTY oil can. The ultimate display item, or your master mechanic's secret sauce to upcharge vintage Italian C-Record bicycle builds by using the grease the instruction manual calls for.
As for the grease itself, it's a formula Campy came up with to upgrade the classic 1970's Campy grease that came in the off-white round tub with blue lid. I won't describe it technically, but in the photos are scans of the 1986 catalog telling you all about it.
Condition
New old stock and untouched! This has been in a private collection for decades, and the condition shows it. Foil seal is completely sealed, not a single bit coming up. Tub and lid are in mint condition. Decals are mint. A tiny bit dirty, but you could probably clean this off if you want.
