Product Description
The mid 1990's McMahon Linear Decelerator (LD) was an improved version of the McMahon D-Cell cantilever brake. It has unique pivoting connectors at the top of each arm which allow the use of the bizarre double straddle cable. This system combined with the I-beam construction of the arms makes for an incredibly powerful brake with almost zero flex. The catalogs claim this matches the power of the wild McMahon Powerlink scissor brake. This may be the most rare of McMahon's brakes!
The 6/4 titanum springs were under license from Charlie Cunningham, they're the same design as his WTB Speedmaster roller cam brake.
Condition
Near mint or better with very low miles! No fading, very minimal marks in the ano except light wear on the tension adjusters. Original Kool Stop pads show almost no use. Show bike worthy!
