Product Description
Hershey Racing handmade a low quantity of high end bicycle parts in the 1990's out of Redlands, California. This hub is a VERY rare, sought after hub. I have only seen two other hubs like this, both at museums (MOMBAT and Bike Cult). Guarantee to turn heads and get you attention! Making this one even more rare is the fact that it is red. The BikePro Buyers Guide states they only come in Black, Lavender (3DV Purple), and silver. It's a great bike part for a collector, or to build into an amazing wheel for your bike.
What makes this hub unique from any other hub ever made is it's clear Lexan polycarbonate center tube. You can see right through it, and actually see the axle turning! The Hershey Racing logo is prominently displayed on one side of the axle, which makes this axle spinning even more apparent.
CONDITION:
Great lightly used shape. The bearings spin smoothly with zero play. When this was built on a wheel, it would spin forever. The anodizing is in very good shape, with only minor cosmetic marks on the outside of the flanges. Spoke holes have just a bit of spoke wear.
DETAILS:
- Sealed cartridge bearings
