Frank Spivey(?) Long Cage For Campagnolo Nuovo Record: Drillium - Bullseye Pulleys - 123mm c-c - Cupertino/Spence Wolf (Near Mint+)
This custom extra long cage quite likely came out of Frank Spivey's workshop, alongside the better known yet ultra rare Spence Wolf Alpine. This one is even longer, at 123mm center to center on the pulley bolts! The cage consists of two highly polished alloy plates drilled out to the max, highly polished jockey bolts, and the red early Bullseye pulleys.
The 3rd photo here shows a picture of Frank Spivey's front derailleur drilling jig. It is remarkably similar to this cage. I do not have further proof that this was the handiwork of Spivey, yet this is one remarkably rad piece of machinery that is bound to get a lot of stares and questions. Ride this on your 1970's L'Eroica bike!
Near mint to mint, absolutely show worthy! No scrapes or other damage! The polish has the usual microscratching when viewed in the right light/angles, and these could be further polished out if desired to make this a mirror finish. Bolts are mint. Jockey wheels are buttery smooth, and show light wear.
