Product Description
The Mead Cycle Company out of Chicago (and England where it had a factory) made some high quality bikes such as the Mead Ranger around the turn of the century and on to the 1930's (?). This is an exceptionally nice pump that dates to somewhere between 1900 and 1920, though probably closer to the middle of that range.
Condition
Exceptional condition for the age. The pump appears to function just fine, and looks great. The logos look great! The plastic casing on the body and handle are in excellent shape with only a couple very minor marks. The only real issue with the pump is a 2cm long crack near the pump head. The metal pump head/tip is in great shape. The pump's action is super smooth, and the rod is straight.
