Product Description
Before the legendary Cinelli Unica-Nitor saddle was released in the 1960's, all saddles were either Brooks style solid leather, or plastic junk. The Unicantor was the first to have a plastic shell, (some) covered with a bit of padding and leather. It's the basic premise most modern saddles are based on! One of the most influential bicycle components of the 20th century.
This is the rare CINELLI block lettering on rear version, circa 1970's. It only has the 3 large holes down the center (the MOD 55 added a bunch of small holes near the rear). It has the molded oval logos on underside but no foil decal. It does not have the Flying C logo nor does it say "Cinelli on the saddle top distinguishing it from the later 1980's models.
Condition
Very good used shape. No tears/holes/scrapes. The rear end's leather has been rubbed into being "fuzzy". Decals are fairly worn.
