Product Description
Campagnolo NR/SR DT shifters from the late 1970's to 1987. Somewhere between the 1978 Catalog 17a catalog and the 1982 Olympic catalog, Campy introduced their newer shift lever format alongside the older format. By the 1984 catalog, the new style was the only one offered for both Nuovo and Super Record.
This newer format is identified by a few changes including: 1) cover plates are now concave and angled, (vs earlier flat washer style), 2) Cover plate now has flat back, and a second friction washer sits under it (vs earlier cover plate was thicker with a thin metal washer underneath), 3) lever blades now have raised inner section with Patent Campagnolo in relief (vs earlier pebbled inner w/ raised Patent Campagnolo Valencia, 4) the lever blade's outer edge texture is now round dots with space between them (vs the old less-than-round dots touching each other), and 5) lever blades are now side dependent (vs earlier lever blades were identical left to right side)
