Product Description
This exotic saddle was a competitor of the entirely carbon fiber Selle Italia Flite Evolution, and it's even more rare. This is the final iteration of the famed Bontrager / San Marco collaboration of the 1990's. It features a wild kevlar infused leather cover & carbon rails. The (included) product tag calls the cover a "precious skin cover". The cover does appear skin like! It is very thin and tightly conformed to the high tech "Differentiated Rilsan" shell. It's super narrow, and ultralight at 176g.
The KA is the top shelf sister to the more common Bontrager Ti T202 & Chromoly M216. It was a design of Keith Bontrager himself. The overall shape is similar to the San Marco Concor Lite, but a little more dramatic. It's a rad top shelf piece to finish a special 1990's retro mtb restoration.
Condition
Excellent used shape. There is some light scuffing on the rear corners and nose, plus a bit of rub wear to the kevlar pattern on the side skirts at the top from leg rub. Not quite show condition, but lots of miles left.
