Product Description
The legendary Spinergy Rev-X wheels were designed by a former Cannondale engineer named Rafe Schlanger in the early 1990's. In the landscape of that era not expanding much past standard J-bend spokes and box rims, these wild wheels with with four flat carbon spokes per side were nothing short of alien. They were popularized later in the 90's and became iconic perhaps with the assist of a certain Marco Cipollini pic in the pink jersey aboard his Saeco C'dale from the 1997 (1998?) Tour De France.
This particular version is the X-Tra Light, which as you'd guess are lighter. I haven't figured out exactly where the lightening happens though. Some suggest this is the team issue version.
Condition
Excellent used shape. Cosmetically these are quite clean, with some light wear throughout and heavier imperfections on the front hub. Rear bearings feel perfect, front are a bit tight. Rear rim is less than 1mm out of true, front is about 1mm out.
