This upgraded Boone 9 with some rad custom artwork has been my all-road bike for the last few years. It's long and stable wheelset lends it great geometry for all day riding with some supple Compass tires. The ISO-Speed decoupler "pivot" and fork smooth out the big hits and keep the tires gripping the ground. About 100 miles ago, I made a few big upgrades. Namely, a set of Niner cx carbon wheels & 1410 grams and ZIPP Short n' Shallow carbon bars wrapped in Fizik tape. I switched out the crank for a mid-compact 52/36t and added a wider 11-32t cassette. The result is a 17.4 pound rocket (a full pound less than stock weight.)
CUSTOM ART BRAKE LEVER! The left lever blade was custom made out of carbon fiber by a carbon repair shop, and it was painted by a PDX artist! This lever is WILD. Words don't do it justice. It depicts a partial face with an eye, a little cartoon creature who says smile forever, and a white glove hand giving the finger. Too cool and unconventional for you? Just buy a brand new lever for ~$175 and sell this art one for a profit.
This bike has a slew of rave reviews all over the internet. Some even claim this is the greatest cyclocross bike ever produced. Or, you could ask Katie Compton or Sven Nys who have ridden this frame to world championships.
Condition
Excellent well maintained used condition, mostly on pavement. Some gravel rides, no races. It is ready to ride, with a fresh professional tune and zero wearing out components. The frame is free from damage. It has a few light surface scratches here and there from normal use, and a bit of cable rub on the head tube. Many new-ish parts with under 100 miles (wheelset, tires, cassette, chain, handlebars/tape. The rest of the components show only light cosmetic wear. Cables/housing are in excellent shape.
