Product Description
The original owner of this exquisite frame was a collector, and rode this frame only on a trainer for a minimal amount of time (this frame was too small for him and it was quickly relegated to wall hanging detail). It is a 2001 to 2006 frame based on the components it came with. The frame and fork together weigh ~2130 grams, quite a bit lighter than the 1980's and 1990's Master models. Rear spacing is 130mm, for 8/9/10/11 speed drivetrains.
The Master series features Columbus Gilco tubing, which is a highly shaped and sculpted steel tubing giving superbe stiffness to weight ratios. The lugs are intricately filed into multiple points, and feature lovely cutouts. Carbon fork has a 1" carbon steer tube.
Condition
MINT condition, only ridden on an indoor trainer. Frame is nearly pristine, with the only marks to note are a couple very tiny paint chips on the bottom of downtube, a microscratch or two on the seat tube, and a couple very small cosmetic marks near the bottom of the logo on the fork. Zero chainslap or other marks on the chainstays. Chrome is perfect. It still has the factory bolts that are installed in the bottle cage bolt holes to keep paint out of the threads in the seattube bolts! In short, this is beyond show-worthy and is very very close to NOS.
