Product Description
Feast your eyes on what may be one of the most jaw-droppingly gorgeous bikes you have ever seen! The Master Light was Colnago's top of the line model throughout much of the 80's and 90's. It was handbuilt with an exotic proprietary tubing called Colubus Gilco, which is diamond shaped. The “Art Decor” paint job was hand painted, ensuring this is the ONLY bike in the world with this exact paint job. It's built with a period-correct top of the line Campagnolo 8-speed Racing Triple / Record drivetrain, super stiff and beautiful wheels, and a Ferarri saddle!
I bought this bike from the original owner in Denver. He told me this frame is NOS, as are most of the parts. And it shows in it's condition! The pedals, saddle, wheels, tires and cassette have about 300 miles on them, the rest of the parts are NOS with a 5 mile test ride on the bike.
FRAME SIZE:
This Small/Medium 51cm frame will fit someone roughly 5ft to 5ft 6. It's top tube is longer than normal compared to the seat tube, making it a great choice for women or men with shorter legs/longer torso.

Seat Tube: 51cm (c-t)
-
Top Tube: 53cm (c-c)
-
Headtube: 90mm
FRAME DETAILS:
Serial number 5F668 on the right/rear dropout, verified by Colnago to be a Master from 1995, Color AD1. The Columbus Gilco tubing gives this frame a look unlike any other. It is shaped into a diamond, or 8 sided form. This is said to increase stiffness exponentially, and looks amazing. The fork is the original straight blade, steeply raked, all chrome Colnago fork. It features the Colnago name and clover on each side of the sloped crown. The paint is otherworldly. It's loosely Colnago's Art Decor AD10 paint (which refers to Colnago's art series in this shade of blue). Many of the fine details are unique. The non-drive side of the top tube playfully displays three colored clovers. On the opposite side of the top tube is Ernesto Colnago's signature. The stays highlight the chrome with multi colored transitions and clovers. The fork is the sought after straight blade Colnago Precisa fork.
THE BUILD:
Nothin' but the best! It's built up just as a top end build of this frame could have come out of the factory. The build starts off with the super stiff and pretty wheelset. They're 36 spoke, deep profile Sun Venus rims, laced to Record 8-speed hubs with thick bladed stainless steel spokes. The front wheel is radially laced to provide a bit of compliance. The drivetrain is Campagnolo's triple group, Racing T, along with Record Ti Ergo Brifters. Original Colnago pantographed ITM stem/bars. It has a smattering of ultra rare parts, including an all-titanium SRP cassette and Selle Italia Novus-Ferarri saddle, which was made famous on the swoopy Colnago C35!
CONDITION:
Put simply, AMAZING shape! The frame and fork are New Old Stock, and have been on a 5 mile test ride since built. The paint in is beyond mint, and nearly pristine. Super glossy all around with amazingly crisp details. The only marks of note are a 1mm or less chip on the side of the bb shell, and the gold paint inside a few of the Colnago clovers has a bit of wear (how this happened is beyond me). Chrome is pristine on the fork, stays, and lugs. The wheels are true as an arrow, and spin for days. Just a bit of rim logo wear and light brake track wear. It's been professionally checked over, and needs nothing. Rides and shifts exceptionally.
