Product Description
This one is now on display at my friend's shop, Brave New Wheel in Fort Collins Colorado
This clean Pogliaghi is in excellent preserved and original condition with minimal blemishes. A rarity for Pogliaghi frames of the era, this one has fully chromed stays and fork. More commonly, these had dipped chrome stays or painted stays. The seat lug is stamped PSM, as well as the frame number of 11427, dating it to 1978. The gruppo is period correct Nuovo Record, with Super Record brake calipers. The rims are some pretty rare gold anodized Nisi tubulars. NR seatpost, crank arms, and and Cinelli 1A stem have a fresh mirror polish that match the chrome frame parts well.
This model was a pure professional Italian race bike, and weighs a scant 20 pounds on the dot as it is photographed. This low weight is spectacular for the 1970's.
