Rebuilding an early Stumpjumper? This is THE stem that came on the first year of the Stumpy, 1982 (and the "prototype" 1981 model). It's even labeled "82" inside the clamp. This model is referred to often as the golf putter stem, but also the Stumpjumper BMX 4-bolt stem. It's MUCH more rare than the Slingshot stem or Ritchey Bullmoose bars that were more common on 1983-1986 Stumpy's.
*We also have many other parts that would have come on one of these vintage Stumpjumpers such as Model IV riser bars, grips, Tommaselli brake levers, Mafac canti's, etc. See "related products" at the bottom of this page. No, we did not commit a MTB capital sin and part out an early Stumpy! These just came to use in random lots.
Condition
Excellent shape! Mostly blemish free, except a scrape near the steerer bolt and a light scuff on the underside of the clamp (see pics). Original hardware in great shape. No rust.
