Product Description
This clean Pogliaghi is in excellent preserved and original condition with minimal blemishes. A rarity for Pogliaghi frames of the era, this one has fully chromed stays and fork. More commonly, these had dipped chrome stays or painted stays. The seat lug is stamped PSM, as well as the frame number of 11427, dating it to 1978. The gruppo is period correct Nuovo Record, with Super Record brake calipers. The rims are some pretty rare gold anodized Nisi tubulars. NR seatpost, crank arms, and and Cinelli 1A stem have a fresh mirror polish that match the chrome frame parts well.
This model was a pure professional Italian race bike, and weighs a scant 20 pounds on the dot as it is photographed. This low weight is spectacular for the 1970's.
Size
- Seat tube: 57cm (center to top of seat tube)
- Top tube: 56cm
- Head tube: 147mm
Condition
Preserved show bike condition. The frame appears straight with ZERO dents, bends, cracks, or rust. The original paint and decals are near mint and glossy. There's a few very light scratches here and there, but none are visible enough to show up in photos. The only blemish worth noting are just a few scratches on the chainstays towards the BB shell. Almost all components are mint. Crank arms, stem, and seatpost have a fresh polish and are pristine. Bars/tape are mint. Derailleurs are mint, with the exception of the jockey wheels each having a crack. Hoods are supple, though are showing the first signs of drying. Period correct racing tubulars are not glued and have slight cracking, though tread and appearance are excellent.
