TRP Parabox Hydraulic Disc Brake Converter for Mechanical Road Levers
This lil gadget was introduced in 2012 as a way to get hydraulic disc brakes on road and cyclocross bikes, in the days before Shimano and SRAM offered road hydraulics. This adapter mounted in place of a headset spacer. Bike Radar says "The Parabox features a steerer-mounted master cylinder that translates brake cable pull into hydraulic braking power. The unit accomplishes this through two small levers, that when pulled by each brake cable, pushes a plunger in the master cylinder to actuate the hydraulic calipers. Through altering the length of the lever the brake cable pulls, TRP is able to modify and optimize the stopping power of the brake." The whole setup which included this adapter, hoses, and calipers ran $500.
Great used shape, some cosmetic wear. Not tested
