These thumbies were very common on early 90's and late 80's mountain bikes. If you had a mid to high end mtn bike in that era, chances are these shifters came on your bike! These will work in indexed mode with 5, 6, and 7 speed drivetrains, or any speed with friction mode. The front shifter can handle double or triple cranks, and is friction only.
