The DuoPar derailleur is has the widest gear ratio ability of ANY road bike derailleur in existance to this day. It has two parallelograms, which allows it to shift up to a massive 36 tooth cog! When set up correctly, these are amazing derailleurs. Widely renowned as one of the best choices for vintage touring bikes. When it was first released in 1975, it was in a league of it's own and had no legitimate competition. Suntour tried to take on the Duopar in 1982 with it's Mountech RD, which proved too complicated and delicate to be a winner.
Condition
Pretty worn but fully functional if you source a mounting bolt. The hardware asided from limit screws are near mint. Pulleys are in great shape, cage in decent shape. Scrapes on the faceplate are the main issue.
