Product Description
Intricate antique flint catchers from about the early 1930's to the 1960's (It was last published in the 1963 Ron Kitching catalog). These are considered by some the most effective scrapers. They are self adjusting to provide just the right amount of light pressure on the tire and circle around the entire circumference of the tread. TA copied the Ozanne design with their Ref 19 catchers, the only obvious difference is the Ozanne name vs TA.
These little gadgets hang from your brake bolts and gently "scrape" your tires clean from road grime and stray glass. They had many names—tire scrapers, tire savers, flint catchers... This version is made by Bicycle Research and is a wire construction.
