Product Description
Very pretty older steel end plugs! These have a slightly domed top, and the expanding prongs have straight sides (vs the newer stuff from Schwinn / Hunt-Wilde that had arrowhead shapes at the ends). Unsure who made these but they seem older and English/French/Italian to me (can you enlighten me to their origins?). The finish is a dark chrome, perhaps these were proper clear chrome and the darkness is patina? I do have another pair from the same collection that is normal shiny chrome so I'm leaning towards these were intended to be dark. Either way, they look properly older to my eyes, a way to class up your vintage road bike sans plastic.

New old stock with a very light and lovely patina.
