NOS Mafac Constructeur Tool Kit: Mod 45 - Leather Pouch - Rustines Patch - 1950's - 1960's
This rare under saddle tool kit dates to the 1950's or very early 1960's. The 1950's tool catalog shows their kits coming with this Rustine's patch kit, and the 1961 catalog shows the move to Dissoplast patch kits. The leather case is finely stitched, and included is all the tools you would need to adjust your Mafac brakes and change a flat tube. It seems by the 1970's sometime they transitioned to the much more common black or brown vinyl case.
Condition
New old stock, never used. This came to me from part of a collection I bought. Pouch is in amazing condition, as are the tools. Rustine's kit is fully intact and never opened, though bottom left there's a small piece of tape holding a flap on.
