Product Description
The Limbo Spider was one of White Industries' first products, released in 1988. It is a spider adapter that bolts to the 74mm inner bolts and allows you to use Suntour type-A thread on freewheel cogs as small as 18t for your granny ring.
This cool part was designed by Craig Mitchell, who's famous for building what some consider the first "custom" mountain bike for Charlie Cunningham in 1976 (I would debate that fact on a technicality, as this frame had essentially the same geometry as the Schwinn Excelsior and used all Klunker parts. Yes it was ever so slightly before Joe Breeze's Breezer, but Joe used a vastly improved geometry over the Klunker geometry).
