Product Description
This gorgeous Brooks dates to the 1940's up to about 1955. It's oval logo identifies it as pre-1955 and the lack of exaggerated serifs marks it as 1940's or 1950's (vs 1930's with serifs). This is a rare fully rideable example, and it's pretty to boot. A rare find for your classic road bike restoration.
Condition
Perfect condition for your show bikes with a bit of patina! It was difficult to photograph with it's very glossy and dark finish, it looks better in person! The leather is super supple yet the top is quite firm (without being hard). It feels like a lightly broken in saddle from the 1970's or 1980's. The top is largely free from cracking except around the holes. Side skirts are cracked but quite flexible. The top of the nose has a little gouged spot, the only significant wear to note. Rails in great shape, cantle has only a bit of rust at the bases of the rails. Original seat clamp in lovely shape with a bit of patina + rust on the nuts (did not try to remove).
