Product Description
Gloriously rechromed ~1960's Cinelli #1 stem for French bikes with 22mm steerers! This one may have been on a randonneur bike at one point, it has a hole for a centerpull cable stop (currently only visible from the bottom as the badge covers the top). The entire body of the stem along with the bar clamp bolt & nut have fresh chrome. The brass badge has its original fired glass enamel "paint". VERY rare in this French size.
It is stamped "5" at the bottom of the quill, unknown significance.
Condition
Freshly dipped in chrome and very close to mint. It has not been installed since being rechromed, and very minimal shop wear. Badge has lovely patina and in wonderful shape with much of its enamel paint remaining. Photos depict condition accurately.
