Product Description
Rare early version of Cinelli's top of the line quill, made even more scarce by being 22.0mm quill for French bikes. French Cinelli stems are super easy to identify via a dimple above the top of the expander cone relief slots. It's also marked on the package, confirmed with calipers. This version has a Ti hidden bar clamp bolt, the old Milano oval logo on the top of the extension, and a faceplate coin with the CINELLI font instead of the flying C logo. The 1R was introduced in 1973, and continued with the old logos and ti clamp bolt through 1977. In 1978 they switched to the more common Flying C logo and the hidden clamp bolt changed to chromed steel.
Condition
Great used shape. This one has two wear areas and very clean otherwise. 1) top of quill by bolt and 2) top of bar clamp. Not show bike worthy, but clean enough for riders
