Product Description
Clean example of a classic Super Record rear mech. If you have a vintage road bike, this is the classiest rear derailleur you can ride! Titanium bolts and screws. This one has no patent date which identifies as it as a last generation 1983-1987 model. This is backed up by the 1983 change to permanent lower pivot spring pin without the loop. The older NR/SR derailleurs had a spring with a loop that bolted onto the body housing.
Condition
Near mint or better lightly used shape. This one looks MUCH better in person, the photos didn't come out well. Bearings, pivots and springs feel great. Pulleys almost pass for NOS and seem to have had minimal use. Faint scuffs on the left knuckles. Pivot bolts only a few tiny marks. Black body pieces show only a couple isolated marks. Almost good enough for a show bike, perfect for your Sunday best rider.
