Campagnolo Super Record 50th Anniversary Brake Levers w/ NOS Gum Hoods: Gold Pivots (EXC+)
Brake levers from one of the true holy grail's of the vintage bicycle world! This group was released in 1983 to commemorate Campagnolo's 50th year in business. It also happened to be released the same year founder Tullio Campagnolo died. 10,000 of these groups were made, and only a portion of them were in this special case. Group #0001 was kept in the Campagnolo museum, and #0002 was presented to Pope John Paul ll.
These levers come with an untouched new old stock pair of the correct shield logo gum hoods in tan. They're originals, not reproductions. Note the color of the hoods in the photos came out a little weird, be assured these are the normal color.
Perfect new old stock hoods. Levers are excellent to near mint with just a couple scuffs/scrapes on the blades. The upper section of the blades near the 50th logos is very clean with only a couple VERY small marks. The scuffs are from the Campagnolo scroll and down, and they're all not that bad. Clamps and gold pivot inserts are perfect. These aren't quite good enough for a pristine show bike, but they're good enough for just about any other bike!
