Product Description
This is the last generation of the C-Record rear mech, before they dropped the C and the gruppo became simply Record. This model is most easily identified via 1) both pivot bolts visible and upper is higher than lower (1989 A010 & before had pivot bolts on the same plane, 1992 Record RD-01RE & onward only had the upper pivot bolt visible), 2) flat faceplate (RD-01RE was convex shaped), 3) round barrel adjuster (A010 lacked barrel adjuster, 01RE had wing shaped adjuster), 4) open outer cage plates (A010 had the upper a covered/full style).
This version is quite rare, and one of my favs because of the combo of both modern and vintage styling features. It was also an excellent performer with smooth reliable shifting.
Condition
Near mint or better with low miles! No scrapes/scuffs anywhere, smooth and unworn jockey wheels and pivots, pivot bolts are minty. Practically perfect, though there's a handful of tiny/inconsequential microscratches not worth noting. Good enough for all but the cleanest show bikes.
